Promotional Design for MoMA Exhibition

concept_layout.jpg

This is a promotional design for an exhibition featuring the work of Don Ed Hardy. The exhibition was meant to take place at the MoMA and features the artist’s latest work. This exhibition is promoted in many applications: a bus shelter poster, a banner, a bus poster, an invitation, an application of choice (tattoo) and a brochure. The repeated background consists of one of Hardy's works that was outlined and used as overlays. I did not want to make this exhibit about his tattoos, but his fine artwork. I also did not want to forget where he came from which is still tattooing, so the background of overlays still resembles that history he has.
